Ellie is the central character of The Last of Us series. She serves as the deuteragonist of The Last of Us, the playable protagonist of both The Last of Us Left Behind and The Last of Us Part II, and the main character in The Last of Us American Dreams. When introduced as a fourteen-year-old survivor, Ellie is "mature beyond her years" - a result of the circumstances of her environment. Ellie has grown up in this harsh world and it is all she has ever known. She's an orphan who was raised in a boarding school run by the military within the bounds of the Boston quarantine zone. NaĂŻve and curious about the outside world, she is wise beyond her years and highly capable of taking care of herself and those around her. Obsessed with comic books, CDs, and other pop culture, her knowledge base is filled by the remnants of a world that no longer exists. Read more about Ellie... Not sure where to start? You’ll get to a spot where you’ll leave your horses. Follow her and have a chat as you look at the view. Exit through the crack in the wall but before following Dina to the next area entirely, consider looting the nearby room for supplies. Supplies Crouch through the spare room to the right of the horses but the left of the huge hole in the wall with barbed wire. In the back is a locker with some ammo inside. Follow Dina crouch through the gap, and take the rope up top. She’ll ask you to sign the two of you in. Supplies The room on the right has a bong in it to the right of the sofa. Interact with it for some extra dialogue. There’s also some scraps you can later use to upgrade weapons on the filing cabinet. In the main room, check the desk drawer for ammo. Follow Dina and you’ll see an open notebook on the table where you can sign in. Abandoned Town Follow Dina again on horseback and you’ll reach the next town. You can stop and inspect all the buildings for supplies and collectibles. Supplies Supplements and scrap in the trailer. Supplements, scrap, ammo, trading card on the 2nd floor of the house ahead details below. An artifact in a blown out building details below. Explore the Infected Stores A bloody moose ahead is your clue that infected are nearby. Follow the trail of blood, leading into the window opening, to find your first one. Take cover and use hearing/camera rotation to get a visual on the Runner. It’ll be feasting so sneak up behind it and take it down. Supplies Approach the white door ahead but turn right, so your back is towards it. Ahead is a locked blue door. You can get inside it by going through the window and moving forward towards the trash. On the right is a window you can climb through to enter that bathroom. There, you’ll find ammo and several supplements in the sink. Then just exit through the blue door you can unlock it since you’re in the bathroom. Continue forward and open the white door by holding triangle. Follow the on-screen prompts to execute a quick throw and stab the enemy. Supplies On your right you’ll find some scraps on the table. Check the drawers, behind the cash register, for scrap. Keep going by moving to the right where Dina is and climbing through the window with the streak of blood underneath. You’ll reach a runner infected area. Use the cars for company cover. Take one down and Dina will take out the other. There are more runners inside the store. You’ll need to clear out that area. Tips Enter on the left side, by the dumpster. Take down that runner and then enter the store to take down the 2 remaining runners. Keep a bottle or brick in hand, use them as a quick throw attack if your cover is ever blown. Use your hearing often, this early on in the game it’s not as strong so you’ll see more and more clearly the closer you get. Once the room is clear follow Dina through the sizable gap in the wall leading to the postal truck. Walk up to the truck by Dina and interact with it to give Dina a boost to the top. Then take her hand to climb up yourself. Jump down from the truck and walk towards the Greenplace Market semi-truck. Hold circle to get into prone position to crawl under the truck and continue ahead. Be ready because an enemy lies ahead. Climb up to the top of the blue, truck tractor where the driver’s seat is located and then turn around and do a running jump to reach the white semi-trailer. Continue forward to the hole in the bricks leading to the next area. Supermarket Offices and Pharmacy When you drop down you’ll find yourself in a conference room. Health Kit Recipe Location Loot the room. One of the metal cabinet drawers has ammo and the cabinets under the TV stand have alcohol and some rags which allow you to unlock the Health Kit Recipe. Dina will move the cart blocking the door and the two of you will enter a Spore infected area. Immediately go left to loot the side room for supplies. When you’re ready, continue to the right and you’ll end up in a breakroom area with a door leading to a back office. Loot the kitchen area and lockers before slipping through the crevice ahead. Clickers in the Pharmacy Be ready to take down to clickers. Tips Use stealth to take down the Clickers. Approach slowly because if they can hear you, they’ll know your location. They’re blind otherwise. Despite being blind a Clicker’s scream can also help them detect your location so keep a safe distance until you’re ready to approach them from behind. Keep a bottle/brick in hand because you can use it to do a quick throw to stun and stab the Clickers. The Clickers and infected in general cannot detect your flashlight so feel free to keep it on. If the Clickers spot you consider dodging and running to get some distance. Dina will fire some shots too so you can let her take care of it or draw your gun and fire yourself. Molotov Cocktail Recipe Location Once they’re dead help Dina move the cabinet from the door by holding down triangle once you’re inside she’ll hand you a little present in the form of a Molotov Cocktail because she gets you. Loot this room as it’s full of supplies, including lots of supplements. Exit by climbing up the cabinet to the window above. Infected Super Market This next room has several runners and clickers. Tips Take out the Runners first. Keep in mind that the Runner screams can alert the Clickers but killing the Clickers, out in the open, may make the Runners spot you. Be mindful of the area. Molotov’s are very effective against infected but remember the sound of them crashing and burning will alert others. Clickers are most prone to running into the flames since they’re most drawn to noise. Walk to the exit and interact with the door. It’s locked so head to the right and pick up the rope. Throw it over the exposed vent and throw the rope over my aiming with L2 and throwing with R2. Follow Dina’s lead and jump and slide down to head for your horses and follow Dina on horseback again. At one point you lose Dina but keep moving forward and eventually you’ll hear Dina calling for you. Follow her voice and keep going. You’ll take shelter from the storm in a library. Explore the Library The copy center is locked but you can break the glass window by using a brick, a bottle, or a melee attack. Jump through the window and move to the next door. Loot the room for scraps. When you’re ready, continue to the next door. You’ll automatically pick up the collectible hanging on the corkboard. Return to the children’s library, Dina will remark that there’s something underground. Keep walking until you’re in the tiny hallway between the copy center and the children’s library. Turn to the bookshelf and move it with Dina’s help. Continue downstairs and see what Eugene has been hiding. Interact with the mason jar and a cutscene will play leading into the next section Jackson - The even more TLOU 2 guides, check out IGN's The Last of Us 2 Guide hub or click through to one of the following pages Walkthrough Collectible Guide Combat Tips Exploration Tips Safe Combinations and Codes Trophy Guide and List Janet Garcia is an associate guides editor at IGN.
I've been reluctant to post this. I recorded my reaction when I saw the accessibility settings in TheLastofUsPartII for the first time thinking it would be a fun video for posterity. I

How to complete the The Flooded City chapter and find everything along the way. The Flooded City follows on from The Last of Us Part 2's Road to the Aquarium section. This is the second part of Seattle Day 3, and involves a semi-open area you traverse by a newly acquired boat. There's the usual roster of easily missed items along the way - which this page explains how to find. On this page Exploring the first building in The Flooded City Seattle Sleep Warehouse, Carthy Hotel and train rope puzzle in The Flooded City Kingsgate Brewing Co in The Flooded City W and B Arcade in The Flooded City Looking for help in other areas of the game? See our The Last of Us 2 walkthrough and collectables hub. Exploring the first building in The Flooded City Once you leave the building with the boat in Road to the Aquarium, you'll be in a small secluded area. You can park up on the right bank and explore the lorry for supplies. To proceed, find the partly submerged fence in the water, and drive over it. Go through the building until you need to you're forced to stop by a gate. You can open the gate with the chains to the right, but there's a bunch of items to find here. Get off your boat by pressing the Triangle button to begin exploring. First, go back to where the water drops down, and there's a doorway on the left. There are various supplies here, including the Seff-L'ho'pid Trading Card in the corner desk drawer. Next, go to the gate, up the stairs, and into the room. There's a Journal Entry by the window. Next, investigate the corpse in the corner for the Stash Note Artefact. You learn a safe code - 70-12-64. You'll be needing it in just a moment Next, there's a trolley in the far corner. You can move this to find a gap in the debris. Before you go through, move the trolley to the vent in the corner, giving you various supplies. Crawl through the debris where the trolley was to drop down into a caged area by the gate. As well as supplies, there's safe here. Use safe code 70-12-64 for ammo and some crafting items. We're now done here - so use the chain to the right of the door and leave on your boat. Next is a to a semi-open area. The end goal is to drive through the Kingsgate Brewing Co building at the end, but there's a bunch of places you van visit before then. Seattle Sleep Warehouse, Carthy Hotel and train rope puzzle in The Flooded City Drive down the rapids, and you'll come to the Seattle Sleep Warehouse building to your left. You can drive underneath but not enter it. Instead, go along the outside of the building to the left, where you can jump out onto the bank just before you pass the Warehouse, and enter another building. In this submerged building is a Workbench in the corner. Get back in the boat and continue past the Seattle Sleep Warehouse. Straight ahead is Carthy Hotel. Drive underneath and to the right is a bank with a corpse. Next to it is the Shamber Note Artefact. There are also supplies and ammo here, including on a boat by the column behind. Drive onward until you come to a multi-tiered building ahead, which sees a boat pull up and fighting start. Ignore it for now, and stick to the left you shouldn't get spotted until you can climb out onto an island with a train carriage you can climb into. Climb up until you see a rope. Grab it, drop out the right door, and swing over to the platform. Now climb into the open window. There are various supplies here, as well as a corpse. Grab the Sniper's Note Artefact from the seat. Kingsgate Brewing Co in The Flooded City While you are here, you can look down at the Kingsgate Brewing Co. building below. This is our next destination, and you can probably see several patrolling guards. Use this opportunity to take a few out with your bow from a safe distance. Also, if you want a fast and enjoyable way of getting back to your boat - you can leap from the train carriage into the water below! You'll want to fully explore this building, as there's various crafting supplies and ammo deposits to be found, so swim over and take the time to clear it out. There is also the Encampment Note Artefact on the upper floor. It's on the wall to the left, if you are facing the mural on the back wall. Once done, get back on your boat and drive underneath and through the Kingsgate Brewing Co building. After a few corners, you'll emerge in front of the W and B Arcade. W and B Arcade in The Flooded City Drive through the window and climb out. The aim here is to open the gate to the right, but when you try the chain, there is debris blocking it. Let's sort that. Ahead of the stairs going up, there are some booths. At the last one is the Arcade Flyer Artefact on the table. Go up the stairs and search the floor for various supplies - including crafting materials, some of which are hidden underneath the basketball games in the corner. There's a Workbench location in the far corner, too, before the archway. Once done, head through the archways to the long corridor. There's a locked door at the end, with a window above it. Move the trolley at the opposite end towards it. Before you can make it, you fall through the floor and face a Boomer. You know what to do here - keep your distance, dodge when it gets close, and use explosives and Shotgun blasts to keep it at bay. Other infected will join the right, so take them out quickly before you are overwhelmed. Looking for more help? Our The Last of Us Part 2 walkthrough provides pointers for the later chapters of the game, including Hostile Territory, The Shortcut, The Descent, Ground Zero, The Marina, The Island and The Escape. Meanwhile, we have a complete list of The Last of Us Part 2 Safe Code solutions. Once done, grab any supplies you need, and investigate the shutter underneath the Prize Zone in the corner. After you open the shutter and jump over the counter, turn right. There is a Khazakh Bright Trading Card to be found. Go upstairs. Turn right to find the PC Cafe area at the end. As soon as you enter, look on the wall to the left for the Arcade Note Artefact. Now go across the walkway where you'll find the debris blocking the gate chain. After the button prompt, drop down and use the chain. Now ride out on your boat. Follow the linear route out to sea, and towards the wheel in the distance. Now begins the Infiltration chapter.

Home Gaming News Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann Says There is 'No One Solution' to Crunch Naughty Dog co-presidents Neil Druckmann and Evan Wells discuss the studio’s battle with crunch culture, rejecting a 'silver bullet' solution. Crunch-time is practically the industry standard in game development. It’s a problem that doesn’t seem to go away, no matter how much attention it gets. Last year reports emerged that Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us 2 saw an intense crunch period despite its delayed release. Naughty Dog's co-president Neil Druckmann commented on the issues during one recent interview. However, he acknledged the problem but rejected the notion of a simple solution. Druckmann and and fellow co-president Evan Wells made ther remaks during an interview with Ben Reeves from Game Informer. The conversation covered a range of topics before eventually landing on the question of crunch time. Wells and Druckmann discussed various steps the studio is taking. These included taking on additional management to ensure current Naughty Dog projects are progressing smoothly. The studio is also working on creating more opportunities for employee feedback. Druckmann also explained that Naughty Dog’s leadership is also working harder to watch how employees handle stress and the workload. Reeves then asked about unionization, an often-suggested answer to the problem of AAA crunch time. Wells and Druckmann largely dismissed the idea, expressing skepticism of unionization as a solution. As Druckmann explained, Naughty Dog has attempted in the past to create policies that prevented crunch. However, he argued these sorts of companywide changes inevitably lead to unforeseen complications. Druckmann gave the example of Naughty Dog not letting developers work on Sundays, only for staff to complain that it disrupts their established schedules. He argued that situations like that are why Naughty Dog can’t just end crunch with a single policy change. “We find that there is no one solution that fits everybody,” Says Druckmann. “Everybody has a unique situation we might need to address.” Responses to Wells’ and Druckmann’s statements have seen mixed reactions. Some, like Fanbyte contributor Kenneth Shepard, criticized the answers as “wishy-washy.” Shepard also rejected a claim from Wells that Naughty Dog could not simply implement a 40-hour workweek, pointing out that it is standard practice in many other industries. However, others, such as Naughty Dog environmental artist Anthony Vaccaro pushed back, defending the company’s efforts at reducung Naughty Dog's overreliance on crunch time. Regardless, crunch culture has been a real issue with AAA developers for some time. Ubisoft, BioWare, Rockstar, and CD Project Red have faced similar criticisms for relying on crunch time to hit unrealistic deadlines. It seems only time will tell if Naughty Dog produces real solutions to the rampant overwork of game developers. MORE Joel’s Growth in The Last of Us Franchise Explained Source Game Informer

A When the US explorer and academic Hiram Bingham arrived in South America in 1911, he was ready for what was to be the greatest achievement of his life the exploration of the remote hinterland to the west of Cusco, the old capital of the Inca empire in the Andes mountains of Peru. His goal was to locate the remains of a city called Vitcos, the last capital of the Inca civilisation. Cusco lies on a high plateau at an elevation of more than 3,000 metres, and Bingham’s plan was to descend from this plateau along the valley of the Urubamba river, which takes a circuitous route down to the Amazon and passes through an area of dramatic canyons and mountain ranges. B When Bingham and his team set off down the Urubamba in late July, they had an advantage over travellers who had preceded them a track had recently been blasted down the valley canyon to enable rubber to be brought up by mules from the jungle. Almost all previous travellers had left the river at Ollantaytambo and taken a high pass across the mountains to rejoin the river lower down, thereby cutting a substantial corner, but also therefore never passing through the area around Machu Picchu. C On 24 July they were a few days into their descent of the valley. The day began slowly, with Bingham trying to arrange sufficient mules for the next stage of the trek. His companions showed no interest in accompanying him up the nearby hill to see some ruins that a local farmer, Melchor Arteaga, had told them about the night before. The morning was dull and damp, and also seems to have been less than keen on the prospect of climbing the hill. In his book Lost City of the Incas, he relates that he made the ascent without having the least expectation that he would find anything at the top. DBingham writes about the approach in vivid style in his book. First, as he climbs up the hill, he describes the ever-present possibility of deadly snakes, capable of making considerable springs when in pursuit of their prey’; not that he sees any. Then there’s a sense of mounting discovery as he comes across great sweeps of terraces, then a mausoleum, followed by monumental staircases and, finally, the grand ceremonial buildings of Machu Picchu. 'It seemed like an unbelievable dream the sight held me spellbound ’, he wrote. E We should remember, however, that Lost City of the Incas is a work of hindsight, not written until 1948, many years after his journey. His journal entries of the time reveal a much more gradual appreciation of his achievement. He spent the afternoon at the ruins noting down the dimensions of some of the buildings, then descended and rejoined his companions, to whom he seems to have said little about his discovery. At this stage, didn’t realise the extent or the importance of the site, nor did he realise what use he could make of the discovery. F However, soon after returning it occurred to him that he could make a name for himself from this discovery. When he came to write the National Geographic magazine article that broke the story to the world in April 1913, he knew he had to produce a big idea. He wondered whether it could have been the birthplace of the very first Inca, Manco the Great, and whether it could also have been what chroniclers described as the last city of the Incas’. This term refers to Vilcabamba the settlement where the Incas had fled from Spanish invaders in the 1530s. Bingham made desperate attempts to prove this belief for nearly 40 years. Sadly, his vision of the site as both the beginning and end of the Inca civilisation, while a magnificent one, is inaccurate. We now know, that Vilcabamba actually lies 65 kilometres away in the depths of the jungle. G One question that has perplexed visitors, historians and archaeologists alike ever since Bingham, is why the site seems to have been abandoned before the Spanish Conquest. There are no references to it by any of the Spanish chroniclers - and if they had known of its existence so close to Cusco they would certainly have come in search of gold. An idea which has gained wide acceptance over the past few years is that was a , a country estate built by an Inca emperor to escape the cold winters of Cusco, where the elite could enjoy monumental architecture and spectacular views. Furthermore, the particular architecture of Machu Picchu suggests that it was constructed at the time of the greatest of all the Incas, the emperor Pachacuti 1438-71. By custom, Pachacuti’s descendants built other similar estates for their own use, and so Machu Picchu would have been abandoned after his death, some 50 years before the Spanish Conquest. - Great thanks to volunteer Lan Nguyen has contributed these explanations and question markings. TheFlooded City follows on from The Last of Us Part 2's Road to the Aquarium section. This is the second part of Seattle Day 3, and involves a semi-open area you traverse by a newly acquired boat Safe codes in The Last of Us Part 2 allow you to open optional puzzles dotted throughout the adventure. You'll mostly find safes off the beaten path, and though the code to open it is often spelled out, you'll often need to find a nearby clue in the environment or from an Artefact to open it. This Safe Codes list cuts through the hard work of where to find safe clues and provides every safe code solution in chronological order. Looking for help in other areas of the game? Go through the door straight ahead. There is a locked safe in here. Read the Good Boy Combo Artefact on the desk to learn how to get the combination - "The date my good boy got Employee of the Month". Go back to the board to see the dog or 'good boy' is listed for July 2013. This means the Employee of the Month safe combination is - 07 20 13. Enter the code into the safe to open it. Inside the safe is a stash of Supplements, crafting materials and some alcohol. The Last of Us Part 2 Bank Vault code This is found in the Westlake Bank, an optional location within Downtown Seattle. Once you have cleared the lobby of infected, you can safely explore the bank. Go into the Safe Deposit Lockers door and search the bag on the floor for the Bank Heist Plans Artefact. This gives you the bank vault code. Approach it and enter the Bank Vault code 602306. Inside the vault are several useful items. One is the Pump Shotgun weapon, a powerful short-range weapon you'll want to make use of, and several Artefacts - the Bank Robber Letter, and the Antique Ring, the latter of which gives you the So Great and Small Trophy. This one is particularly useful as it unlocks a hidden trophy - So Great and Small. The Last of Us Part 2 Gate West 2 code This is just north of the Downtown Checkpoint, and south-west of the Courthouse. Squeeze through the open gate by holding forward and the X button. Inside is a safe, with the code written down on the Checkpoint Gate Codes Artefact you found earlier. Enter Gate West 2 code 0451 to open up the safe. Inside you'll find ammo, a Med Kit, various other supplies and a Flo Trading Card. The Last of Us Part 2 Courthouse safe code In the Courthouse Lobby - the floor with the lights out - there is a locked door at the far end. Throw a bottle or brick through the window to enter the office. The safe is underneath where you enter. Between the Artefacts and the white board here, we know the Courthouse safe code is 860722. Opening the safe gives you a bunch of crafting items and other useful consumables. The Last of Us Part 2 Wellwishes store 'Staci's phone number' safe code Towards the end of the Capitol Hill chapter, where you come across a second group of explosive traps, there are two stores - a martial arts store, and Wellwishes opposite. Go through the back door of Wellwishes, and check the notice board on the right for a Thrift Store Reminder Artefact. You'll learn about the next safe code - which is the last six digit of a phone number. The one featured is incomplete - it's missing two digits - so enter the right door here for the number on the wall. It adds a 33 - making the Wellwishes store 'Staci's phone number' safe code 55-01-33. Go through the other door. There is a Clicker crawling here, so take it out and approach the safe. Enter code 55-01-33 for various supplies. The Last of Us Part 2 Locker code Shortly after the first shamblers encounter in The Tunnels, you'll come to two rooms in a long corridor. In the furthest room, on one of the tables, is the Locker Room Note Artefact. This hints at a clue within the vending machine. Smash the glass of the vending machine to get the Soda Can Note Artefact. This will give you the first three digits of the Locker Room code - 152 - with two left a mystery. Interact with the locked door, and you'll discover only one of each number can be inputted. This means you only have two other combinations. Feel free to experiment, but the Locker Room code is 15243. Inside is various supplies and ammo. The Last of Us Part 2 Auto Repairs safe code Towards the end of the Hillcrest chapter, you explore a bunch of shops before going up the stairs to follow the smoke trail. Behind the row of shops is the Auto Repairs building in the corner. There is a bin blocking the door. You might hear some strange noises when you move it, and you'll be right - inside is a lot of runners waiting to be released. You'll want what's inside, so prepare a Molotov or Trip Mine, then finish them off with melee strikes or bullets.+ Inside is a safe on the right. If you found the Dale's Combo Artefact from the bar across the road, you'll learn the Auto Repairs safe code is 30-82-65. Of course, you can just enter this without picking that up first. Inside the safe is various ammo and supplies, plus an equipment upgrade - the Short Gun Holster. The Last of Us Part 2 Apartment Anniversary safe code Close to the beginning of the The Seraphites chapter, you can explore some apartments before you complete the dumpster ramp puzzle. Inside the left apartment which you enter via climbing out the lobby window is a safe in the bedroom. To open the safe in the bedroom, you need to inspect the calendar on the wall by the bed. This tells you the upcoming anniversary. By reading the Evacuation Letter Artefact, you'll know it's been 30 years. So with the date we know - 10/08/13 - subtracting 30 years gives us the Apartment Anniversary safe code - 10-08-83. Inside the safe are various supplies. The Last of Us Part 2 Weston's Pharmacy safe code In the The Seraphites chapter, just before you reach the Hospital, is a short swimming section. As soon as you enter the water, climb the ledge opposite to find the Weston's Pharmacy. Next, grab the Pharmacy Note Artefact from behind the counter. This features a safe code - you'll need it in just a moment. Crawl through the hole in the wall to the side to find the safe. Enter Weston's Pharmacy safe code 38-55-23 to access various supplies within. The Last of Us Part 2 boat safe code At the start of The Flooded City, there's a room with a gate you have to open to progress on boat. Instead, go upstairs to the room above. Next, investigate the corpse in the corner for the Stash Note Artefact. You learn a Safe Code - 70-12-64. There's a trolley in the far corner. Move it, then crawl through the debris to drop down into a caged area by the gate - and the safe. Use boat safe code 70-12-64 for ammo and some crafting items. > The Last of Us Part 2 'the big win' safe code In the On Foot chapter with Abby, you'll explore a Boat Repair building, then leave through a hatch in the roof. When you get back on the ground outside, but before you drop down to the train tracks round the corner, you can find a safe location. Before you follow them round the corner, there's a building in the middle of this area you can enter. Go round the back to see some windows. Throw a brick or bottle - or use a bullet - to smash the window. Climb inside. As well as the Indiana Coin, there is the WLF Gun Cache Note Artefact to collect. This hints at a safe code - with the "the big win as the combination". If you inspect the cork-board, you will see the numbers 17-38-07 circled on a lotto ticket. That's the big win it's referring to. To find the safe, exit the building. Manny and Mel will go alongside a building and a fence. As soon as you get past the corner, enter the hole in the wall to the right. As well as supplies, there is the safe. Use the big win safe code 17-38-07 to get the Hunting Pistol and some ammo. The Last of Us Part 2 Jasmine Bakery safe code Shortly after the infected section in Hostile Territory, you'll leap over a wall and come across a mural on a corner wall. Turn left down here and enter the first one, Jasmine Bakery, by smashing the window. At the back is the safe. To get the code, continue down the street to Ruby Dragon - the last shop on the left - go upstairs, then across to the building opposite. Go left into the first room and grab the Jasmine Bakery Safe Artefact to read about the ration operation and safe code - 68-96-89. Now drop down through the door, then make your way back along the street to Justine Bakery. Enter Justine Bakery safe code 68-96-89 for various supplies. The Last of Us Part 2 ferry safe code In the ferry section of The Coast chapter, you will collect a new weapon - the crossbow. In this same corridor, at the end past the two infected, is the Mutiny Note Artefact. This has a safe code - 90-77-01. To find the safe, continue playing until you are on the upper-most deck. If you turn left as soon as you emerge up the stairs to this floor, there is a hole in the wall, with a safe clearly visible. Make sure the infected inside is taken care of before attempting to open. Enter safe code 90-77-01 to get the Improvised Weapons and Terrorist Tactics Training Manual, unlocking the Ordnance branch for Abby. The Last of Us Part 2 apartment number neighbour exchange safe code In The Shortcut chapter, play until you leap from a roof onto a freeway, then into an apartment to the left. There's plenty of supplies here, including a safe in one of the bedrooms. In the hallway, on the side table, is the Neighbour Exchange Artefact. Read it to learn a new safe code by combining the two apartment numbers - yours checking the Artefact, it's 302 and theirs going out of the apartment for where a 'Julia' would live, it's next door - 304 making 30-23-04. Insert safe code 30-23-04 into the bedroom safe for some crafting materials and ammo. The Last of Us Part 2 wifi password safe code In The Descent chapter, the starting floor features a gym. Go out into the corridor to see two doors. The right has stairs to continue, while the left has a storeroom with a safe. To get the safe code, go down the end of this corridor to Orchards Juice Bar. Go through to the back and grab the Gym Safe Combo Artefact from the corkboard on the wall. The Artefact says the 'code is the same as the wifi'. To find the wifi password, return to the gym and look on the side wall to learn it's 121879. Now return to the storeroom and enter wifi passcode safe code 12-18-79 for various supplies. Assuming you've completed every safe until this point - you'll earn the Safecracker Trophy for opening every one in the game. If not - jump back to the top of this article and review the table of contents to see which ones you are missing. Looking for help in other areas of the game? You will have to fight off a few guys who jump onto your horse, but keep riding forward to get away from the house you are using as a base. Eventually, you will end up back on foot. Sorry horsie. Run into the cabin ahead of you, and loot the bedrooms here. When you move into the front of the cabin, you start to hear Hunters searching for you. Time to drop into stealth mode. Make good use of the arrows in this front room for a ranged stealth kill. Take out the guards right outside the house, then sneak out the door. There are guards all over the camp here, so watch where you go. Firefly Pendant 26 Head over to the gazebo here to snag a collectable Firefly Pendant, then move through the cabins. There's some loot here as well as plenty of cover. There seems to be a decent group of guys by the restrooms, so watch out for that hotspot. You eventually need to make it to the stairs at the far end of the area. Once up here, you will have to inch your way across the broken walkway to the left, then continue forward down the cliffside trail. advertisementYou drop down a bit of a drop, then crawl through a pipe. You come into a clearing, so head upstairs. Comic 11 Negentropy On the park bench is a collectable Comic to grab. Now crawl through the second pipe ahead of you. It's blocked! Head back out and grab the dumpster behind the cage. Pull it out, and then head back through the pipe. You come up on the main resort building. You can see the exit off in the distance, but don't start running for it yet. Hunters start coming out now, looking for you. Take them out, then climb on a box to drop down into the main building. You aren't alone in here, so make sure to stay as stealthy as possible. advertisementThis is a big building, but you are limited to only the downstairs. Make your way through the lobby until you get to the front entrance. Head out the door with the Exit sign above it. Well, THAT didn't go according to plan. You're back as Joel now, so walk out of the basement you are in. Head outside and down the road. Sadly, you cannot loot any of these houses. Head forward until you stumble across some Hunters. Take a few out, and they retreat to the back yard. Head into the back yard and into the house to find some supplies. Hop out the living room window and out to the street, and you get stopped. Watch what happens here, because it is INTENSE. You are now back as Ellie outside in a blizzard. Run forward away from the man shooting at you. You see a door ahead of you. Blocked. Now try the door next to the gate. You're inside again. Move the cart in your way to crawl under the boards into the next room. You're now in the front of a pet store. You can hear Hunters outside, so stay behind cover. advertisementEventually, one enemy will enter the store. Take him out to get his gun. Make your way across the street, not down the street where everyone is heading. Once in an alley, keep going down until you see a lot of mail trucks. Take out a few guards here, then head up the stairs. Move forward and you'll see a barrel with a fire in it. Directly to the left is a small hole you can crouch through. Head through here, and around to a pick-up truck. There may be another Hunter here, so watch out. Continue forward through the slashed open fence. Stay along the left side of the street here until you get to an alley. There are two ways into the building here, so head in whichever way will not get you noticed by the two Hunters inside. Take them out silently, then head out the arcade's front door. There are plenty more guards outside, so make sure to move from cover to cover. If you get spotted, run back to the gate blocking the end of the street, and hide. The Hunters cannot see very well through the snow. Eventually as you move forward down the street, you'll spot a building with a burning trash can here. Move past this to a street on the left. Follow the street now, until you get to another gate blocking the way. Jump up onto a dumpster, and then through the cracked open window. advertisementYou are now in a kitchen of some sort. It doesn't look like anyone is here or in the restaurant either. Make your way to the front door, and head outside. Ohhhh boy, our friend is back. You need to hide from him, and sneak up on him to get the keys back. Also, as an added difficulty, he does not go down in one hit. After the first hit you land, he breaks out the machete, so now if you get hit once, you are dead. Keep after him, but without him seeing. Watch out for the smashed plates on the ground, as he will hear if you step on them. Once you land three hits, you both go down. Artifact 76 Lake Resort Map Joel will automatically have this in his possession at this you are Joel again, and back outside. You come up on a gas station/garage on the right. Head inside, and hear about four Hunters coming for you. Take them out, then continue down the road outside. There's another building you can go into straight forward. It looks like a motel. Move through the bedrooms here, until you get to the back of the motel. advertisementTraining Manual 11 Smoke Shaping Hop out of a bathroom window and look to your left for a Shiv Door. Inside is a Training Manual and some other loot. Now head back out. Watch out for the Hunter who is on the lookout. You can sneak into the semi trailer he is standing on without him noticing. Move past him and out the other side of the trailer. Move through the camp here until you find an alley with a burning barrel. Continue forward, and Joel will automatically slip inside a building. Artifact 77 Ellie's Backpack He'll find Ellie's backpack in here that is automatically added to your possession after the cutscene. Artifact 78 Meat LedgerTo the right of the shelf is another artifact on another forward now, being super stealthy. Move through the rest of the butcher shop and see some horrors that weren't meant to be seen. Go out the front door to see the restaurant on fire. As Ellie again, inch forward to get to the machete. The Last of Us 2, or The Last of Us Part II as it’s officially named, is the sequel to Naughty Dog’s critically acclaimed survival horror game, The Last of Us. We awarded the game a 10/10 in our The Last of Us 2 PS4 review, describing it as an "essential sequel". In this The Last of Us 2 guide, we’re going to share our beginner’s tips and tricks to help you to survive the PlayStation 4 exclusive’s harsh post-apocalyptic world. We’re also going to reveal the location of all collectibles, including Artefacts, Trading Cards, Coins, Journal Entries, Workbenches, and Safe Code Combinations, as well as the Strange Artefact and Engraved Ring. This page will also include some Trophy guides, revealing how to put a hat on your companion and how to visit every location in downtown Seattle. Please note that, despite our best efforts to preserve the plot, there will be The Last of Us 2 spoilers in this walkthrough due to the nature of its contents. Therefore, please browse carefully if you don't want to know anything about the sequel's story. The Last of Us 2 Guide All Collectibles The Last of Us 2 has an incredible 266 collectibles for you to find. You can view any collectibles you've discovered by pushing the touchpad when you're in-game, and using the R1 button to browse to the collectibles sub-section. Artefacts are generally written notes and other pieces of lore-related ephemera you'll find in the world. They're typically represented by an icon showing a sheet of paper, signifying that they can be collected. Trading Cards function similarly to Artefacts, though they have their own symbol within the world and are categorised separately in Ellie's backpack. They are Ellie's main form of collectible. Coins are similar to Trading Cards, however they represent Abby's primary form of collectible. They're represented in the world by two overlapping pennies. Journal Entries are generally added automatically to Ellie's notepad, however there are a handful of moments where you'll need to interact with parts of the world in order to ensure she scribbles her thoughts down. These are considered one of the game's collectible types. Workbenches are where you can upgrade your weapons using spare parts that you scavenge from the world. You simply need to look at these in order to "collect" them, however we recommend interacting with them just to ensure they get added to your checklist. You're also probably going to want to upgrade your weapons each time you find one anyway. Safes are storage units that contain key valuable items, but you'll need to know the correct safe code combination in order to open them. Typically, the clues are written in Artefacts that you'll find nearby, but be prepared to use both the environment and your ol' grey matter in order to solve the puzzles. The Last of Us 2 FAQ - Everything You Need to Know The Last of Us 2 Full Story Recap The Last of Us 2 Guide Tips and Tricks for Beginners The Last of Us 2’s wide-array of difficulty options mean you shouldn’t have too much trouble finishing the game, regardless of your ability. However, there are some universal tips and tricks that we’d recommend to all players. Read through these carefully to ensure you’re prepared. Always Reload and Craft During Downtime You should endeavour to reload and craft any materials during moments of downtime, as these will ensure you’re always prepared for conflict. There are moments during The Last of Us 2 where you’ll be ambushed by Clickers or rival factions, and sometimes these encounters can catch you off guard. Keep your weapon magazines as full as possible and your backpack well supplied with key items, such as health packs and explosives. You’ll regret not utilising these periods of peace effectively if you don’t. Never Face Danger Head On Under no circumstances should you ever run towards danger, as you’ll be taken out immediately. Rival humans’ aim will improve when you run towards them, and the stopping power of their weapons means you’ll struggle to make meaningful progress anyway. It’s better to run away from potential conflict; use stealth to get the jump on your enemies, saving valuable resources and utilising the element of surprise to your advantage. Ensure you’re always moving, but try to attack enemies from behind or from the side. Similar rules apply to Clickers, although discretion should be your main focus when fighting the infected, so try to restrict the use of your firearms to emergencies only – at least until you’ve thinned their numbers. Crouch to Dampen Your Footsteps If you want to remain quiet, then you’re going to want to crouch as much as possible. Delicately pushing the thumb stick while in a crunched position will ensure you’re virtually silent, but remember you can also go prone if you need to hide either under cars or in tall grass. Remember, concealing yourself in foliage doesn’t make you invincible like in other games, but you’re much more difficult to spot and this can buy you time if you need to use health kits or take a breather for a few minutes. Use Distractions to Your Advantage Bottles and bricks are great for smashing glass and stunning enemies, but they can also be used to push and pull enemies around. Use these items to create distractions and diversions, or lure infected into areas where there are human foes. If you can successfully pit Clickers against gun-wielding gangs, then you can significantly thin their numbers, reducing the amount of resources you’ll require to finish them off entirely. You Don’t Always Have to Engage Fighting is fun albeit harrowing in The Last of Us 2, but one tip is that you don’t always have to attack. If your resources are low and your energy levels are depleted, consider using stealth to slip past your enemies undetected. While there are some encounters where you’ll have no option but to fight, many others can be approached completely clandestine, and if you’re successful you’ll never have to use a single bullet. If you struggle at stealth then remember that you can craft silencers for your pistols, allowing you to pick off select enemies without attracting any attention. A Collectibles Tracker Can Be Enabled If you’re playing through The Last of Us 2 on New Game + and you’re searching for any outstanding collectibles, it’s worth switching on the Collectibles Tracker in the Settings menu. This allows you to keep track of which collectibles you’ve found in previous runs, so you know which ones you need in order to unlock that all-important Platinum Trophy. And that brings our The Last of Us 2 guide to a conclusion. Hopefully, this has helped you to get the most out of Naughty Dog’s touching post-apocalyptic tale. If you have any further tips and tricks to share, please post them in the comments section below. Maintenant, on sait. On rappelle que le jeu est disponible sur PS4 depuis le 19 juin dernier, et que notre test se trouve Ă  cette adresse.

The Sony studio addresses working conditions in a new concerns about crunch culture remain at the forefront of the games industry, Naughty Dog's leaders are speaking out about what they're doing to assess working conditions at their own for franchises like Uncharted, The Last of Us, Crash Bandicoot, and Jak & Daxter, Naughty Dog has been a prominent force in the AAA development scene for the two decades. However, ahead of one of 2020's biggest releases, The Last of Us Part II, reports began to emerge about instances of crunch culture within Naughty Dog's ranks. After the game was delayed, developers anonymously said the delay led to sustained crunch rather than more breathing room. Naughty Dog co-presidents Evan Wells and Neil Druckmann spoke to Game Informer about how the studio is working to move forward and make changes after last year's reports of says Naughty Dog is assessing ways the studio can improve, including evaluating the well-being of Naughty Dog employees by looking at how many hours employees are working and how much stress they're feeling, among other factors."Everybody has a different definition of what crunch means," Druckmann said. "We find that there is no one solution that fits everybody. Everybody has a unique situation we might need to address."Game Informer also asked Wells and Druckmann about unionization. Wells said he hasn't put a lot of thought into it, and doesn't know if it would be a solution to crunch. Druckmann says the studio has tried to implement anti-crunch solutions in the past, but a one-size-fits-all solution doesn't always lead to results."... we’ve said, 'Okay, no working past this hour,' or, 'It’s mandatory that no one can work on Sunday,' and they’re always a lot of corner cases of someone saying, 'Well, I couldn’t work on Friday because I had to be with my kids. It’s actually more convenient for me to come in on Sunday.' When you try to have a silver bullet, like one solution, you’re always leaving someone behind. That’s why we feel like we need multiple solutions. We have to approach this from multiple angles."Wells also spoke on the topic of strict work limits, saying, "If we had some sort of restriction where when the clock strikes 40 hours the servers shut down and you can’t work anymore, that would frustrate people to no end. There are people who really want to put in that extra polish on their own volition, and they would feel handcuffed."The interview has drawn criticism in some corners, with one games media member calling Wells and Druckmann's responses "wishy-washy," and others saying Naughty Dog missed an opportunity to make themselves look decent. However, Naughty Dog environmental artist Anthony Vaccaro pushed back against these assertions, calling the effort to address crunch at Naughty Dog "dramatic."It remains to be seen how Naughty Dog will adjust to the reports of crunch among its employees. Crunch remains a common problem in video game development. Red Dead Redemption 2 creator Rockstar and Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red have also come under fire for unhealthy work Insomniac, another studio under Sony's first-party umbrella, reportedly managed to ship Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart "completely crunch free."
